About Martijn van Vreeden

I help organizations take control of their digital measurement.

My work sits between strategy and implementation - helping companies create more structure, ownership, and clarity in how digital measurement works.

My perspective

Many organizations already have tools, dashboards, and tracking in place. But that does not automatically mean they are in control of their measurement.

In practice, the real challenges are often about definitions, ownership, alignment, and the ability to make measurement work across teams and systems.

That is the space where I do my best work: helping organizations move from fragmented measurement to a setup that is clear, reliable, and practical.

How I work

I combine strategic thinking with hands-on experience. That means I can help define the right direction, while also understanding what it takes to make it work in practice.

I am used to working with stakeholders across marketing, product, data, and implementation teams - especially in environments where complexity is part of the reality.

Why clients bring me in

  • To bring more structure to digital measurement
  • To improve clarity around definitions, ownership, and ways of working
  • To connect strategy with execution
  • To get up to speed quickly in complex organizations
  • To make measurement more reliable and useful for decision-making

Background

I have worked as an independent consultant since 2015, supporting organizations with digital measurement, analytics, and data-related challenges.

Before that, I worked at Pon Automotive, where I was responsible for digital analytics and CRO across several major automotive brands. That experience taught me how measurement challenges play out inside larger organizations — where structure, alignment, and stakeholder management matter as much as the technology itself.

Earlier in my career, I worked at Traffic Builders, which helped me build a broad foundation across digital analytics, digital marketing, and consulting.

Contribution to the field

Over the years, I have also played an active role in the Dutch digital analytics community, including conference programming, speaking, and helping organize industry events such as MeasureCamp Amsterdam.

That community involvement has kept me closely connected to the evolution of the field - and to the people shaping it.
